Arve

He glides with wings unseen

Watching over those he has known

In many years of his life on this earth

Why he is gone is mysterious

To those of us below

He is gone now, that is all we know

The good he has done survives

Not only for a few but many, many more

Some work is apparent, some we will never know

Everlasting will be his name

Carried in the hearts of those he loved

Carried by his spouse and his children for ever more

(Arve is the late husband of my high school friend. Arve was a commercial pilot)
