A bit of humanity that lasted a moment

Hopefully, it lives on forever

In the minds of both

And in a photograph

A perfect moment in the mind of the giver

And perhaps the receiver

The receiver given a gift

The giver received the gift of giving

Why this happened was simple enough

This was one act of many that day

To show gratitude, to acknowledge

The labor of one person and of many people

Many such moments happen

Only a few are frozen in time

Perhaps recorded in a picture

But in our collective thoughts, the moments live on
