Years upon years

Fights upon fights

They all tell me

They all treat me like I am in the know

No, I don’t know your war

No, I don’t know your horror

(You) tell me about it

I act like I understand

I had seen a glimpse of what you saw

I have seen nothing of what you saw

But you are my brothers in arms

All of you since the beginning

All of you!

All of you!

Note: Even thought I was in the Vietnam War, my experience was mild. Talking with my brothers in arms, I am shocked about what they went through. Like we were in different worlds.
