Moon

The moon is still shining

At midday among the clouds

In the sky it can be found

Even against a bright sun

The beauty of the moon at night

Is shining for all to see

During the day, it is subdued

Blending in with the clouds

But even the day moon

Reminds us of its place in the heavens

And perhaps we can further realize

Its importance to the earth

Without it, the oceans would be still

No high or low tides

No inspiration for those who write

Or those who love

We can purposefully look for the day moon

Or come across it by chance

It has its place in the heavens

And in our hearts
